  • Clients brief:
  • In contrast to the previous year, the client required a traditional set of institutional windows, showcasing the craft and detail, synonymous with the Myer Christmas windows.
  • Design Rationale:
  • The Nutcracker, was designed as a traditional period run of windows, using traditional costumed characters, theatrical sets and scenery, textured lighting states, magic illusions and traditional display techniques. The presentation was to instill previous window memories, but with 21st century effects and technology to enhance the visitor experience.

    Rather than being restricted by a specific publication’s illustrations, the 2010 season was a generic collage of visual designs & interpretations, designed to captivate and enthrall the audience.
